Core PCE Inflation
The Core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index excludes food and energy and is a measure of the prices that people living in
the United States, or those buying on their behalf, pay for goods and services. It's produced by the
Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and is one of the key inflation indicators monitored by the Federal
Reserve (Fed) for monetary policy decisions. This chart shows the quarter-over-quarter percent change at a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR). Source: Data retrieved from FRED, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
